Happy Thanksgiving

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

This past weekend my mom and I drove up north some, and spent the day at Aventura Mall in Florida. Aventura mall is probably my dream place to shop; this is because they have everything and anything you could want or need to buy. Every big department store like bloomies, nordstrom’s, macy’s. In Miami if I would want to go to bloomies and nordstrom's I would need to drive to two separate malls. So for a full day of shopping where you want to go to lots of department stores in one place Aventura Mall is definitely the place to go. Besides the big anchor department stores, they also have all of my favorite small shops such an anthropologie, jcrew, juicy couture, forever 21, bcbg, zara, steven, louis vuitton (newly opened), and the list goes on and on. I could have easily spent the whole day and night at Aventura but thankfully for my pocket book we had an appointment at 5pm so we had to cut our shopping day. Of course this only leaves me wanting to plan another fun filled shopping day at Aventura, but I think ill wait a couple weeks until my funds are replenished.

It makes me a little sad that Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday. I especially realized that this weekend when the entire Avenutra Mall was decked head to toe in Christmas decorations! Some of the best decorations i have ever seen, by the way, especially the gigantic train display. So i guess its ok and i will just have to deal with the fact that Thanksgiving is never decorated for. It does feel pretty magical to see the Christmas spirit everywhere you go for a month + , makes me wish the Christmas season was even longer, time is just flying by.

When I think of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday I can’t help but let my mind wonder to what I will be wearing. Sharing in Thanksgiving and the holiday meal to me is all about comfort. The comfort of family and being around loved ones, and the comfort of a home cooked meal. Because of this I absolutely want to be the most comfortable I can that day but still dressed up nice enough to share in the special time of the season. This is my way of dressing up jeans and comfy cozy sweater, because when you add high heel shearling lined booties, a sophisticated bag, classic stud earrings, a statement necklace, and an assorted arm party of bracelets and bangles you can not help but look sophisticated and pulled together. Everyone will think how chic your look is, and you will be completely as ease and in comfort.

Three Terrific Things

Somehow on my own, I have figured out how to finally post videos onto my blog! Therefore this week I will share with you the three terrific things I am most excited about through video. The release of the full length Hunger Games trailer had me up at 8am tuned into Good Morning America and since then I can not stop watching it over and over again. The excitement makes me almost want to the read the entire trilogy over again. This morning I realized that the Christmas tree lot in the corner of my house is up and running, seeing all the beautiful trees automatically put me in a cheery mood. Lastly I have been dying to make some time to go see the movie Like Crazy, which has been more difficult than expected because the closest theatre around me playing it is about 30 minutes away. Enough is enough though I need to see this movie this weekend.

Let's talk about the "IT" bag of the season, probably of the year, the Celine Luggage Tote. Is this bag truly worth $2,100.00? (Starting Price.) Sure if you have an extra thousands of dollars laying around and you think the bag is beautiful go for it. I mean for normal people, is this bag worth it? Well apparently so because as it is with most expensive "IT" bags, the Celine Luggage Tote has been on back order ever since it's debut. There seems to be around a 3 month waiting period if you can get your name on a list to even purchase this bag. Yes, it’s beautiful, and it’s made in France from the most scrumptious leather, but i have to wonder what makes this bag so wanted? Is is the exclusivity, since very few stores carry it and it is very hard to actually buy. Or is it because it’s beautiful and a perfect every day bag, or is it the $2,100? What i love most about the luggage tote has to be the form and structure, the stitch piping around the handles and on the bag, and lastly its simplicity. Many bloggers that i follow have made the big purchase and once i see it on them and in the photos i can maybe understand buying one, you know if i had thousands of dollars laying around.

This weekend I accompanied a friend to a special preview party she was invited to by Land Rover. The event was to preview and test drive the new Range Rover Evoque. The Evoque is the smallest, lightest and most fuel-efficient Range Rover ever has just received the prestigious 2012 Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year^® award. I must say the car is a beauty and a must see. The event was held at one of the most beautiful locations i have ever seen in Miami. Being born and raised here it is rare that i find new places that i have never heard of or seen, and i was blown away by this secret spot. The event was held in a private estate which is on the water that can be rented out for such events. I am definitely writing this place down and making sure i remember it for any very special occasions i have coming up in the future.

All Through the Day - Necessities

Besides my family and friends, my dog - tato, these are my every day to day favorite things. The things i need every single day to feel organized, composed, and calm. These are the things that keep me sane and on top of my game. Basically without these following things i would be lost and not sure how i would function on a day to day basis. I find it kind of funny just how many things i "need" on a daily basis, sometimes i wonder if i was to vacation on a secluded island if i would actually "need" these things. Until then, while I'm living in a big city with lots of things to do these are definitely essentials and necessities.

iPad & iPhone

From checking and responding to emails, serving as an alternative photo and video camera, sharing everything with social media outlets, reading books, browsing my favorite blogs, watching TV shows and movies, checking up on my bank and credit card accounts. The list goes on and on as to why these two items are my two top necessities and constantly in my possession at all times.

Louis Vuitton Planner

My high school gave us yearly planners during first week of every new school year; due to this they started an addiction/problem. That being that i NEED to see things written down in order to remember and complete them. I've tried to use to my phone as my "calendar" but it doesn’t work, i forget everything and end up missing important appointments. The only thing that works is if i write it down. The most beautiful way to keep myself organized is to write my life down in my Louis Vuitton red epi-leather planner. I've had mine for five year's now, and i can honestly say they hold up perfectly, because mine still looks brand new.

Beauty Necessities

 

Chap Stick, Lip-gloss, Hand Cream, and Perfume. Every girl has "their" favorites when it comes to these items, and these are my best working most favorite products. Eos Chap stick, Korres lip-gloss, Lavender French luxurious hand cream, and Bond No. 9 scent of peace Eau de Perfume. I have long been a fan of Bond No. 9, thanks to my mom that got me hooked on the expensive perfumes when she gave me one as a gift. Honestly they are worth the price, this being because a couple of sprays will last all day, I am not exaggerating it will last the whole entire day! Some other favorites from them are Bleeker Street, Chinatown, and west side story.

TiVo/Web/Ears

Pretty self explanatory! Everyday i watch my shows on my TiVo and would never be able to watch any TV if TiVo would not have been invented, so thank you TiVo. Sugar,inc: I can not rant and rave enough about sugar,inc they are the best one stop website to find anything and everything you need on a daily basis! From pop culture, to fashion, to new recipes, geeky stuff, to the entertainment world - i love all sugar sites. My bose in-the-ear headphones are the ONLY earphones that stay in place doing a run or any cardio activity i use them almost every single day, and the Urbanears Plattan head phones are the best and most comfortable for watching movies and TV shows on my ipad.

Food & Beverage

Almost every day i eat a meal provided by Norman's Brothers. I have lunch there almost every single day during the work week (it’s down the street from my office) and i grocery shop there most nights for dinner. It’s fresh and delicious and i recommend it to everyone, especially their sandwiches, their hot foods, and their strawberry yogurt shakes, YUM! If you don’t see me with double tall non fat latte in hand you will find me with a liter bottle of Fiji water, it just is what it is, everyday! Lastly but not least, though i don’t indulge in this every night just some nights, there is nothing I enjoy more than a glass of Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon it’s my favorite, and i make sure i always have a bottle at home.
